2015-05-27: Ideas, I have so Many

I am somewhat infamous for taking ages to actually implement an idea. Redoing my home office took just over a year.
But I have lots of ideas.
So I guess it balances out.
In theory the time to implement should stop some of the dafter ones seeing the light of day.
Tankendo chaps can be relaxed
At Katsuura (Jukendo seminar) the place had been infested with Kendo people preparing for the World Championships. From memory the Swiss and Chilean teams and I think another one as well.
Jukendo pointing out the obvious
Due to the demands of their training and ours we didn't spend much time socialising but one of the kendo guys was drawing little pictures on the white board each morning.
Kendo looking confident and regal, must be the start of the match.
I liked them and grabbed a photo each time. It gave me something fun to look forward to each morning as I fetched coffee.
I am not sure he had seen much Naginata, good attempt though
When I bumped into him he said he was happy for me to use them for a tenegui. Tenegui are the cotton towels we wear under our helmets (and uncouth people use for showering etc as well).
A powerful message. Confusing perhaps, but powerful.
So the first attempt at a tenegui for us to give out to people we train with, needs some work but getting there. I even got to use my name idea I had, so if this gets made I will have delivered on two ideas. Wheeeeee!
Battle Royale!
Of course now I need to get it made and everything for this to count as a delivered project but it feels like almost there. Maybe I am maturing. Probably not.

Side Note: The graphic design was done by Elena - both the "simon in english and larsen in katakana" dea and the cleanup of the figures. She is great and works 24/7 if you ever need some weird graphic stuff done. Cannot recommend her enough.
