Food And Beverage Review: Trzy po trzy (Three of Three)
http://www.trzypotrzy.com/
Not sure what the name means. Maybe a reference to Meatloafs classic "Two out of Three ain't bad". Fits our "Three goals at Once" target for the day.
Could also mean "three after three" but we got there early so I only had two scotches after two beers.
Numerology People. Use It!
I am rewarded with Fortuna brewing company beers. I like being rewarded with these, they didn't have any of the weird and exciting ones so I had a Marcowe (Marzen) and a Koźlak (Bock).
Marcowe is Polish for Marzen which is German for March which is what "Beer for October" is called
Both well made and the Bock especially worth having again. Just a touch on the boring side for what I know these guys can do.
Koźlak is Polish for Goat and Goats might try to butt you which sounds like Bock
At a guess lunchtime is primarily catering to business types. There were several people outside on phones and more than one blue-tooth headset. Looks like evenings might be more of the function crowd. I did see what could have been a ceiling trap for a mirror ball.
Most of the two people tables were, what looked to me, more along the lines of "Business Guy taking Sales Lady out to lunch with different business on their minds".
The venn diagram of "sexy lunch people" set had an intersection of zero with "bluetooth headset people" set. I believe this is a universal constant. Set theory math should be taught to all those who would have sexy lunch times.
Entrees are slightly fancy versions of traditional Polish food. Mains are a bit more "Generic Modern Western". I like caramelised carrots almost invariably. Potato had rosemary. Very darying for Polish traditional!
The reviews online, as usual, have the generic bitching about service which almost every review of Polish food places has had. And of course the roughly equal number of "portions too big" and "portions too small" reviews. I am tempted to start a trend of "waitress elbows too pointy".
So far I have yet to notice particularly bad service in Poland except at the Bar Mleczny (and commie style service is what you want there in a Faulty Towers fashion)
